ALSO FOR ALL OF THE COMMUNITY SUPPORT ON PASSING ON THE WORD THROUGH YOUR BLOG AND GROUPS..GOD BLESS YOU ALL, YOU ARE ALL TRUE CHRISTIANS.
I WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THIS A YEARLY AUCTION SAME TIME, SAME PLACE IN 2010.
PLEASE CONTINUE THE PRAYER CHAIN FOR ALEXIS GRACE AND HER FAMILY ALONG WITH ALL CHILDREN AND ADULTS THAT FIGHT EACH DAY TO OVER COME CANCER.
THE TOTAL WILL BE POSTED, AS SOON AS I HEAR FROM ALL THE ARTIST THAT HANDLED THEIR OWN BIDS.
WE DID OUR BEST, WITH THAT IN MIND, MOST OF THE WONDERFUL ART PIECES DID NOT REC. A BID, HOWEVER I BELIEVE WITH THE STATE OF THE WORLD ALONG WITH THE LACK OF BIDDERS WE DID WHAT WE COULD.
FOR THE ARTIST WHO DONATION ART WORK, IF YOU DO DID NOT HEAR FROM ME DIRECTLY, THERE WERE NO BIDS ON YOUR DONATION.
PLEASE DO NOT FEEL BAD, WE DID OUR BEST, AND ALL THE ART AND SUPPORT WAS AMAZING. I LOVE YOU ALL...WE JUST DID NOT HAVE MANY BIDDERS.

Tammy, I am upset with myself. I thought I had your website bookmarked telling about the silent auctions-but I didn't. I would have gladly bid on some of the items that were offered. What a wonderful thing you all did for this so precious child Alexis Grace.

ReplyDeleteIt's a little upsetting about the items that didn't get bidders, but maybe this will be a first step. If this becomes an annual event,then maybe word-of-mouth (word-of-blog) generated from this years auction will snowball.
I've participated in an annual event to benefit Ovarian Cancer Research; the first year there was a decent turnout, but each successive year it has increased as word-of-mouth has spread.
I hope the same will be true for this auction.

Totals are not in yet but I think we did close to $300.00 or maybe over with the cash donations being sent to Jill.

My Mother-in-law died 2 years ago from that form of cancer.
