This is so great to see her little ears, and face..

She is so SWEET..He~~He~~.

I am so excited, what a lucky and Blessed little girl she is..

She has many Grandparents, and a excited and loving Mother and Father to love and spoil her..

ITS A GIRL!!

I am soon to be a Grandmother of a Little Girl..
June 12th I will meet my Little Jacee Lynn Marie.
My Daughter Crystal is soooo excited to be a first time mom.

Now I can stop making Green and Yellow booties, hats, sweaters and blanket..He He..
Now off to buy some PINK yarn, of course I have totes of yarn, but very little pink, lots of Blue..

Well hope everyone is well....

It sure is Winter here in Great Upstate today, Very cold and white-outs here in Gods country...
Fought my way home today, but on a good note, just a little longer and SPRING.....

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!

Hi Everyone!!

Well, it has been along time since I have wrote a post...

SORRY!!! I have been missing in ACTION!!

Busy with CHRISTmas and Family, and Work has been very crazy.

My Hubby had a mini Stroke, and another Heart Operation, finally he is doing great..Thank GOD!!!!

Well, any hoot I am back...

I see I have afew new Followers..WELCOME.

I will post some fun photo's in the next few day's of CHRISTmas time...

I have adopted apoor little mini Pom, that spent the year in a half of her little life in a cat crate.

She is just starting to come around after 2 weeks.

So afraid of everything, never had people around and other pet's to play with.

I will post some photo's of little MIA also...

They shaved all her fur, due to being covered with flee's...Well anyway she is doing well now..

We LOVE her, and she is starting to fit in with the other;s.

I am working on new fun stuff, I have been very creative in the last few weeks, I will share soon.

Cloth and Clay Doll group is a Group of very talented Doll maker's directed by Jane, Over at Gritty Jane's art Studio.

Jane has done an amazing job teaching all of us to make these wonderful dolls, and now we are doing a Group Submission for a Upcycle Theme into a Doll Magizine.

Not sure how much I am suppose to share, but I will share some photos, and this link to join this awesome group.

My Doll (Victorian Rose started out as a Creamora Container, old Curtains, scraps found at Tag Sales, old jewerly,and of course lots of Clay.

She even has a Secret Treasure box, that now contains a Cross.

It was so much fun to take junk and make Victorian Rose..

To all donors and artists,

Thank you so much for your support and donations for Seattle Children's Neuroblastoma research.
Neuroblastoma is an awful disease with the survival rate being only 20%, your dollars and donations will go to help finding a cure for this horrific disease. Our little Alexis has been fighting thru this battle since she was 11 weeks old. She is now "stable" with disease only on her liver. We will be going back in for a CAT scan on Monday to confirm the disease is still stable.

Morning Walk and fresh flowers with fresh country morning air is a wonderful way to begin the day!

I've decided to share some pretty photos I have taken from my gardens, and some old 1800's grave stones that date back to the Revolutionary War that happens to be part of our land which resides right next door to us.

They make wonderful neighbors, some stones have fallen over the years, and are in the process of being fixed.

WELL, HERE WE HAVE RED ROSES, EVERY HIGH BREED I PAYED GOOD MONEY FOR, BLOOMED GREAT THE FIRST YEAR IN BEAUTIFUL COLORS OF WHITE, PEACH,YELLOW, AND MAUVE NO REDS.

NOW THAT THE BUSHES HAVE RETURNED BACK TO THE NATURAL COLOR THEY WERE BEFORE THEY HAD ANOTHER ROSE GRAFTED ON (HIGH BREED, YEAH THEY CAN KEEP THEM)TO THEM , I HAVE ALL RED ROSE BUSHES, 12 TO BE EXACT..

BUT, I GUESS THEY ARE STILL PRETTY, JUST NOT WHAT I PAYED FOR.LIVE AND LEARN!

RED CURRANT BUSH. PAUL LOVES THE JAM I MAKE FROM THIS LITTLE BUSH.

THEY TURN BRIGHT RED, ALMOST LIKE A SNAKE BERRY.

THIS RED ROSE BUSH IS VERY, VERY OLD.

PAULS FATHER HAD THIS BUSH PLANTED OUTSIDE OF THE BARN WHILE PAUL WAS GROWING UP.

THE 500 ACRES OF FARM LAND AND HOUSE STARTED OUT BY BEING PAULS GRANDPARENTS, THEN ON TO HIS FATHER WHICH THIS ROSE BUSH HAD BEEN THERE THROUGH IT ALL.

WE THINK IT IS CLOSE TO BEING 100 YEARS OLD.

WHEN PAULS MOM PASSED 2 YEARS AGO, WE TOOK A PIECE OF IT FROM HIS FAMILY HOME (WHICH IS NOW HIS BROTHERS, NEXT DOOR TO US) AND PLANTED IT HERE ON OUR LAND.

TWO YEARS LATER IT IS GROWING STRONG AND HOPEFULLY WILL BE HERE FOR OUR GRANDCHILDREN TO ENJOY.

I BRING OUT MY MORNING COFFEE AND WALK OUT JUST TO SEE HOW MANY MORE BLOOMS HAVE OPENED. THIS PHOTO IS ONLY A VERY SMALL SECTION OF THE BUSH, IT IS HUGE AND FULL OF RED BLOOMS, AND YES THE CARDINALS VISIT ALONG WITH HUMMING BIRDS.

PAUL TOLD HIM IF HE KEEPS THE CEMETERY UP FOR 5 YEARS HE WILL SIGN THAT PIECE OF PROPERTY BACK OVER TO THE FAMILY.

Time to Get Back In Shape!!!

Well, After a trip to my Local E.R. and a Visit with my Doc. today, I have decided I need to get into shape before Summers End!
First to go is the Cigarettes, BAD, NASTY, ADDICTIVE, AND A KILLER!.
I was very Surprised at the Stats of Heroin, Crystal Meth, and Alcohol related deaths per year verse's Cigarette related deaths.
In the US. Cigarette related deaths are in the 400,000 ALMOST DOUBLE FROM THE OTHERS.
So I am going to try very hard to stop.
Morning is my roughest, as soon as my feet hit the floor I start.
Tomorrow morning I am starting my day by Walking as soon as my feet hit the floor, I will lace-up my sneakers and hit the road.
I am thinking the fresh morning air will make me feel refreshed enough to stay away from inhaling NASTY Smoke.

I stopped in at my Local Gym after the Doctors and signed up for a 3 day a week fitness plan.
Hopefully by Summers end I will have lost my needed 50lbs, and be back in shape again.
I am so amazed how quickly weight has come on.
Being one of the lucky ones, I really have never had to battle my weight.
Now 40 and comfortable with my life, I have gone from a size 7 to a 14.
Not like high school when I would never have let myself gain weight.
I have been comfortable in my shell, so have not had any weight concerns until my Blood Pressure has gone completely out of control and I am heading for a Stroke at 40..
It is now time to WAKE-UP and get Heathly.

You would think with Paul having his HEart Attack In Dec. I would have been more aware of my own health.
I guess sometimes we get caught up in helping others, and forget to help ourselves.
Well, Wish me luck!!

FINALLY!!!! ART CLASS FOR ADULTS IS BEING OFFERED IN THIS SMALL COMMUNITY.
So Myself along with a few other Friends will be starting a real art gallery class on painting humans...YAY I am so excited!

This Guy who is teaching is amazing, his work is so life like.
Our first painting will be of a real Ballerina. I may share with you , we will see...LOL..

"Little Angel of Mercy" She is handcrafted from found objects: vinyl doll head, vintage spinning wheel thread spool, vintage crocheted lace, vintage broach, and vintage button. I painted the thread on the spool, then sealed it, I painted the wings on the back and also the hat, to match everything else. The base has vintage chintz mosaic tiles from Manic for Mosaics on-line owned by Nancy Cormier of San Jose, CA. I learned the secret techniques of making the altered doll from JoAnnA Periotti of Moss Hill Studio (her classes are still available on-line)

The snowman is sculpted from paperclay, and stands 5 1/2 inches tall. His arms are filled with hearts in assorted patterns which are dusted lightly with glitter. His scarf wraps around his neck and trails down his back. The piece is sealed with a varnish for protection, and signed by me.The containers are sculpted with paperclay over cylinders for maximum strength. They are all 3 1/2 inches in diameter, in graduated heights from 2 1/2 inches to 5 inches, excluding the ornamentation. The three little boxes have soft lime green lids, and the sides are antiqued to give an aged, stucco effect. The sculptings on the lids show life's progression, from nest with eggs, to mama sitting on the eggs, to five baby birds all hatched out. The containers are sealed with varnish and signed by me.

It was a regular beautiful summer day, August 16th, 2006- Wednesday…meeting my mother & taking my 2 daughters (Austin Rose & Alexis) for my youngest’s well baby check up and going out for lunch. While our wonderful pediatrician was palpitating her abdomen, I was anxiously voicing my concerns about cradle cap, crying in the car seat….never did I notice that our normally bubbly, happy doctor’s demeanor had completely changed. He finally took a step back and said “I’ve found something in Alexis’s abdomen, I don’t like; I would like you to get an x-ray & an ultrasound at the hospital…you won’t leave here today until we know what it is.”
My sensitive mother (grammy Stella) started crying…. I said “Calm down mom! It’s not like it’s CANCER!”
The day our world turned upside down!
By the end of the day, our fantastic doctor, Dr. Oriel, had made us an appointment at Children’s hospital in Seattle the next morning and was explaining some form of cancer called “Neuroblastoma”.
The next 2 weeks were a blur, our 11 week old baby was being stuck daily by needles/ IV’s, NG tubes to her stomach and going thru numerous tests. Once the biopsy of the “main” tumor was in, we met with the doctors for the new- Worst day of our lives…they confirmed she had a very large tumor from her left kidney, and adrenal gland, that was wrapped around her aorta and pushing on major organs and inoperable and many tumors in her liver and also in her bone marrow and leg bone. It was called neuroblastoma, a cancer that only affects 600 children in the US a year. Her disease was progressive, MYCN gene amplified, which put her in the high risk, stage IV, 10% chance of survival category. How can an 11 week old baby have this horrible, monster of a cancer?
Now, it is March, 2009. She has endured 22 cycles of chemotherapy, 12 cycles of radiation, an 8 hour surgery to remove her primary tumor, kidney and adrenal gland. She has had 8 surgeries total. 44 sedations, 9 blood transfusions, many platelet transfusions, over 600 shots and countless numbers of medications being forced down her. She also had a stem cell harvest done to keep frozen if ever needed. Her disease is now considered “stable” the only disease left in her is small liver tumors; which there is no guaranteed treatment to cure. We aren’t doing any treatment at this time, she still has tumors on her liver that have remained unchanged/stable for the past 14 months, so we are at home, enjoying each other & family & go back to the hospital for check ups.
Thanks to our loving Heavenly Father she is still smiling radiantly, laughing, sparkling & has one feisty temper in lieu of all she’s been thru! There have been countless numbers of miracles on the way and we are in hopes & belief that God isn’t finished handing out the Miracles yet!
Thanks to everyone who has allowed Alexis to touch your heart, and all of the prayers being lifted up daily. God is good, we don’t know his plan, every one of us has only a chosen number of days on this earth, whether your 1 or 30 or 50. Alexis is living each moment to the fullest & we are trying to take her example and do the same and be ready just in case it’s our last.

I have decided to wait until June 12th to hold the weekend auction for two reasons..
One it is a long weekend with many being away from the computer and also I am sad to say there has been a lack of Artist Donations..
I know we are all busy, If you cant find the time to host the auction on your site or blog, I will be more then happy to host your art piece with mine..
Also you can help by posting on your blog and linking it back here for those to read the story and donate.

For those of you who have been very helpful, you are very inspiring to me not to give-up.

3) The artist can host their piece of art on their site/blog to be auction, or I can put their piece of art on my site with mine. If so, I need all their info. so I can link the donation back to them, I also need a Photo of the donation along with the info. on the art piece.
4) All bids will be emailed to the person hosting the art piece.
5) Sunday Night the highest bidder on that piece of art will be emailed for payment and shipping info.
6) The artisit donating the art piece will be responsiable for collecting the payment, shipping the piece of art, and sending the check/money order to Jill (Alexis Mom). All checks will be made payable to the Children Hospital (Seattle Children)
7) The shipping for the item can be handled 2 ways, The artist that donated the art can pay for the shipping if they can afford to, or the shipping can be added to the total of the bid.(Buyer must be told they are paying for shipping in the info. provided for the art piece).
8) If someone would like to send in a cash donation they can email me (crystalscents48@care2.com) for the mailing info. I am trying to be careful not to make the mailing address to public. Again checks are made payable to the Childrens Hospital.

Hope all is well...

I am on a peaceful, hopefully helpful mission. First I am asking us all as a community to send up a prayer for this little angel. I have befriended a woman online that has a very ill little girl with cancer. Alexis Grace is now holding her own, but still has cancer. Here are my plans, I am going to be working on a Silent online auction for the weekend of May 22nd. I am posting this message on my blog to hopefully get other artisit to help and pitch in.

The weekend of May 22nd on my blog I will have a few paintings to auction off with all proceeds going to Alexis Grace.

Heres how I am planning to work it.

First anyone who would like to place a bid, will leave me a comment and then email the bid to me.
Sunday night at 9:00 p.m. I will email the highest bidder to let them know they won. All proceeds will be sent directly to Jill (Alexis Mom).
Each seller (Artist) that holds the auction on their site will send a check or money order MADE PAYABLE TO: Children's Hospital (Seattle Children's) AND THEN SENT to Jill after the buyer pays.

My Miracle Rose Bud

Hi There,

Wanted to share this story and a little video..

It may be a little boring at first, I do not video tape much and should have talked through it (next time)..

If you watch you will see these hours old babies tumble, and try to play already.

Ma is vocal through-out calling them in for feeding time..

I love Mother Nature and what she and the good lord create..

For those of you who do not know, I have a Pig Farm (No not all of them go to the dinner table) we raise many through out the spring...Some go for Food, Never on my table, and others go to be raised.

Rosie and others will live here on the farm for the rest of their days!!!

Well, we had a Mother Pig that was many years older then the farmer we bought her from let us know. When our farm vet came to try to save her, we were then told she was old , we felt so bad, but did not know she was that old. My Hubby had a few words with that farmer who sold her to us...

Well our vet was not able to save her and she died when her Litter of 12 was only 2 weeks.

We had to hand raise a few of them, One being Rose Bud.

Rose Bud was the smallest of the bunch weighing in at 1lb 2 oz, and very weak.

So Rose Bud came into our home and was Diapered for a while, then litter trained until she was 2 months and went back to the barn bigger and stronger then her Brothers and Sisters. (All the others Made it through)

Until Rose Bud was 5 months she was sucking the air, It looked so funny her lips puckered like she was blowing kisses, till this day if I put my cheek down she will lick me..

I call her Kisses!!!!

She was a miracle, my hubby first had to give her mouth to mouth at birth, then place her to the nipple, and then she had to be bottle fed, and cuddled to grow..

Well Today my little Rose Bud gave birth to all healthly playful Piglets..

Her first litter a whopping 9, She was the smallest baby who we thought would never make it and now with her first litter she has become the Pig to produce the most her first time..

Also her babies were born bigger then she was at 2 weeks...She is my girl...LOL..

Never lost a one, and all are very healthly..

So I am a Proud Grandma today, and here is a little video I wanted to share of my Rose Bud in full Bloom!!!

Sorry for the coughing attack at the end.. I still am trying to find out how to edit videos, all new to me..LOL..

I will ask my Computer Guy in the morning..

Hello,
A Little update..
I have been working late into the night, to get my new line of Dolls and paintings ready for my new Web Site..
Grand Opening will be coming on May 22nd..
Keep posted, I am very excited about the new line of Dolls..
Made from recycled goodies..
I have been hitting many second hand stores, looking for treasures..
My grapevines are cut, soaked and ready to work for the doll furniture that will be a part of the new line of dolls..
Also all my gourds are now dried, cleaned and ready for paint, wood burning, and lights..
Thank You to all who have visited my blog..
I am happy I started in Blog Land, and I know more friends will follow along the way..

Spring Flower Series #1 of 10

I have decided to paint more Floral designs again this year, last year I did not use the texture effect (Recently learned in Janes and Maureen Whites Texture Workshop, link to workshop to your right) but sold many at local shops, and a few craft events..
I love the first flowers in the Spring, so here is another..

Both groups are remarkable, so much FUN!..
I have been painting since I was old enough to hold a Paint Brush..
My Uncle and many cousin are talented artist in many forms...
Doll making is new this year..
I working on a Doll Line which will be coming soon...
I offer a few paintings and dolls on ebay from time to time...

My Daughter is 19 and starting LPN School in the Fall, my Step-Daughter is 24 and a Manager at a local store...

I live on a Farm with pigs, and I own Gunner a Quater Horse...Also rescue Parrots from bad homes...
My Pride is my Birthday gift from my Girls, Amigo a Pom, Welsh Mix..My baby...
