Fresh Country Air

Had to share a few more photos from tonights walk around the house.
The sky and Clouds were dancing so amazing tonight, and I even caught a Rainbow.

Loving this new health craze...Taking the time to see what we get so busy with life and miss out on.

Well, It is 3 days into my new health craze.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENCOURAGEING EMAILS, AND COMMENTS!
LOVE YOU GUYS!!!
Morning Walk and fresh flowers with fresh country morning air is a wonderful way to begin the day!
I've decided to share some pretty photos I have taken from my gardens, and some old 1800's grave stones that date back to the Revolutionary War that happens to be part of our land which resides right next door to us.
They make wonderful neighbors, some stones have fallen over the years, and are in the process of being fixed.
Hope you enjoy, many photos to share..
Blessings, and Hugs!
Tammy

WELL, HERE WE HAVE RED ROSES, EVERY HIGH BREED I PAYED GOOD MONEY FOR, BLOOMED GREAT THE FIRST YEAR IN BEAUTIFUL COLORS OF WHITE, PEACH,YELLOW, AND MAUVE NO REDS.

NOW THAT THE BUSHES HAVE RETURNED BACK TO THE NATURAL COLOR THEY WERE BEFORE THEY HAD ANOTHER ROSE GRAFTED ON (HIGH BREED, YEAH THEY CAN KEEP THEM)TO THEM , I HAVE ALL RED ROSE BUSHES, 12 TO BE EXACT..

BUT, I GUESS THEY ARE STILL PRETTY, JUST NOT WHAT I PAYED FOR.LIVE AND LEARN!

4TH YEAR FOR OUR GREEN GAGE PLUM TREE.

REQUIRES LOTS OF WATER, BIT WORTH THE WATER TRIPS.

THE TREE IS LOADED WITH PLUMS EVERY YEAR, AND MAKES WONDERFUL JAM PRESERVES.

ANOTHER PLUM TREE, ALSO PART OF THE GREEN GAGE FAMILY.

WONDERFUL FRUIT, REQUIRES A LITTLE LESS WATER.

RED CURRANT BUSH. PAUL LOVES THE JAM I MAKE FROM THIS LITTLE BUSH.
THEY TURN BRIGHT RED, ALMOST LIKE A SNAKE BERRY.
________________________________________________________________

THIS RED ROSE BUSH IS VERY, VERY OLD.
PAULS FATHER HAD THIS BUSH PLANTED OUTSIDE OF THE BARN WHILE PAUL WAS GROWING UP.
THE 500 ACRES OF FARM LAND AND HOUSE STARTED OUT BY BEING PAULS GRANDPARENTS, THEN ON TO HIS FATHER WHICH THIS ROSE BUSH HAD BEEN THERE THROUGH IT ALL.
WE THINK IT IS CLOSE TO BEING 100 YEARS OLD.
WHEN PAULS MOM PASSED 2 YEARS AGO, WE TOOK A PIECE OF IT FROM HIS FAMILY HOME (WHICH IS NOW HIS BROTHERS, NEXT DOOR TO US) AND PLANTED IT HERE ON OUR LAND.
TWO YEARS LATER IT IS GROWING STRONG AND HOPEFULLY WILL BE HERE FOR OUR GRANDCHILDREN TO ENJOY.

THE CEMETERY NEXT TO OUR HOME.
THE STONES DATE BACK TO THE EARLY 1800'S REVOLUTIONARY PERIOD.
PETER DUNKEL FOUGHT IN THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR.
THIS FARM LAND WAS DUNKEL LAND BACK THEN.
THERE IS ONLY ONE RELATIVE OF THE DUNKELS THAT COMES TO KEEP THE CEMETERY MOWED (PAUL ALSO KEEPS IT TRIMMED) HE IS IN THE PROCESS OF STANDING BACK UP THE FALLEN STONES.
PAUL TOLD HIM IF HE KEEPS THE CEMETERY UP FOR 5 YEARS HE WILL SIGN THAT PIECE OF PROPERTY BACK OVER TO THE FAMILY.

DIED IN 1816, CANT REALLY READ MUCH OF IT, OTHER THEN THE DATE.

  5. Thanks Ladies,
I am having a blast with the camera, as you can see..LOL..
Jeanne you and Paul are the only 2 I know of that like Currents...LOL..
This piece of land was all grown-up with trees and Grapevines for years.
Paul did all of the work to clear it and build our home.
He says how when he was a young boy playing with his brothers on this land, he would dream of a building a home here.
I give Paul all the credit for the vision, we have worked hard for years to now sit back and enjoy..
    Have a Great Week...
    Love
    Tammy
